Farmed and Fabulous |
||||
|
QAIF brought together leading food writers from around Australia to a taste of farmed seafood. Held at leading seafood restaurant Lure at the Coro. Leading chef Mark Maric trialled the menu of taste sensations including smoked Silver Perch, Murray Cod, soft shell crab and of course, Barra and chips – but with thick wedges of potatoes and the lightest of tempura batter. A special treat is the finale : a very mild Thai curry of all the seafood with the spice blend ground fresh for the dish. The event was sponsored the Queensland aquaculture industry, Virgin Blue, Departments of State Development and Primary Industries and Fisheries and Fino Food and Wine. Click for details. |
