Redclaw,Cherax quadricarinatus, is a species of freshwater crayfish native to tropical Queensland and the Northern Territory.

The QCFA is the parent body of 4 affiliated regional associations.

Its charter is to:
Address common problems of all branch associations
Present a united front to Government and other authorities
Promote the Redclaw Crayfish nationally and Internationally
